George William Daaki

Ddaaki George William is a highly experienced public health professional with more than 20 years of service at the Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) in Uganda. As the Head of the Social and Behavioural Sciences Department, William will  provide leadership in designing, coordinating, and implementing qualitative research studies that explore health behaviours and inform effective interventions. Prior to this role, he served as a Supervisor within the same department. 


His work has significantly contributed to advancing knowledge in HIV prevention, reproductive health, and community-based health programs, ensuring that evidence is translated into policies and practices that improve public health outcomes. William has co-authored and published several peer-reviewed manuscripts, contributing to global research on behavioural health, with his publications accessible on PubMed.


He holds a Master of Science in Global Health and Development from University College London (UCL) and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University. His academic expertise, combined with professional achievements and long-term dedication to RHSP, position him as a respected leader in behavioural health research.
