Data Management Officer

--Rakai Health Sciences Program--

The Data Management Officer will support data management activities for RHSP research and clinical trials, including database design, data entry system development, data validation, discrepancy reporting, and collaboration with research teams to ensure effective data management practices. The role may also involve field visits to support the smooth running of data systems.

The position will supervise Assistant Data Management Officers and Records Officers, support data backup procedures, train data collectors and quality control teams, compile statistical reports, and assist with timely query resolution. The ideal candidate should have strong database, analytical, statistical programming, organizational and communication skills, with knowledge of GCP-compliant systems such as REDCap.

Must Have

  • Statistics or Computer Science degree
  • SQL database querying skills
  • STATA, R or equivalent
  • Excel and Access proficiency
  • Strong analytical accuracy
