The Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) is seeking a qualified Laboratory Technologist to support laboratory operations at its Kalisizo station. The successful candidate will perform laboratory testing across multiple diagnostic disciplines while ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), ISO 15189:2022 quality standards, laboratory safety requirements, and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role requires meticulous sample handling, accurate reporting, quality assurance, documentation, and effective laboratory record management.
Working under the supervision of senior laboratory staff, the Laboratory Technologist will contribute to high-quality laboratory services supporting biomedical research and clinical service delivery. The successful candidate should possess strong technical laboratory skills, demonstrate commitment to continuous quality improvement, maintain professional registration, and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while supporting inventory management, SOP development, laboratory audits, and quality management activities.
