Lloyd Ssentongo
Lloyd Ssentongo is Certified Information Systems Auditor, CISA who has headed the IT department at RHSP since March 2006.
He has extensive in-depth knowledge in cost-efficient and cutting-edge technologies, aspects of systems architecture, system life cycle processes, industry accepted best-practices, and extensive hands-on experience performing project management activities such as project scheduling, resource allocations, cost estimating, budgeting, and task management in both Government and commercial endeavors.
Ssentongo’s past and current technical hands-on experience is in a wide range of technologies like Cisco, Meraki, Microsoft, Identity and Access Management, eduroam, Juniper, Palo Alto, VoIP, Sip Trunks, penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, Data center Cooling and enterprise Hybrid PV solar solutions. He was instrumental in setting up the Uganda National Research and Educational Network, RENU, and he is the current chairman of RENU’s ICT Directors forum since 2016.
He is a frequent speaker and presenter at several international conferences like Ubuntunet, WACREN, Geant TNC, Internet2 global Regional Research and educational Networks annual conferences, the most recent ones being in France, Estonia, Norway, San Francisco, Botswana and Madagascar and Ghana.
