  • Stores Assistant
    Positions: 01
    Location: Kalisizo

    General Position Summary

    The Stores Assistant will provide Procurement support services in all RHSP procurement functions in accordance with RHSP procurement guidelines and procedures

    Jobs Responsibilities

    • Receive goods/supplies into the stores and ensure that the goods received are in line with the LPO, supplier’s Delivery Note and/or any other accompanying documentation.
    • Coordinate secondary packaging at the warehouse and ensure that inventory is received-racked-issued-transferred and managed under the most appropriate storage conditions.
    • Categorize goods/supplies neatly on to their respective racks and warehouse and ensure all positioning matches with the system reflection (one-item-one-location).
    • Daily inspection of drugs, medicines, and all stock in the warehouse to allow for appropriate categorization as either valid (fit-forconsumption), damaged, spilled, soon-to-expire, slow moving, expired and/or as may be applicable.
    • Sort, pre-pack and label requested goods before dispatch.
    • Dispatch goods to their respective users and ensure issuances are in line with the request documentation presented.
    • Track and manage the physical inventory cycle of all stocks and warehouse supplies.
    • Inspect daily cleanliness and hygiene of the stores, supervise, mentor, monitor and report on Sanitary Officer(s)’ efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Participate in routine stock taking and daily stock reconciliations.
    • Investigate and report on variances resulting for periodic and ad-hoc stock counts.
    • Provide periodic progress reports on assigned tasks and generate performance reports as may apply.
    • Adhere to all RHSP policies, procedures and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
    • Execute all other duties as shall be assigned by the supervisor.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Stores management, procurement and logistics management, and any other related qualifications.
    • Experience of at least 1 year in stores operations.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Accurate, pays attention to detail and with a keen interest in all stores and inventory management processes and procedures.
    • Excellent track record in customer relations management.
    • Computer literate with experience in the use of MS Office programs; and skills in stock management software for data management and reporting.
    • Should be honest and with a high level of integrity.
    • Excellent communication, team working and interpersonal skills.
    • Good organizational skills
    • Ability to plan, organize, control operations with an attention to detail.

  • Records Assistant
    Positions: 01

    General Position Summary

    To accurately capture, edit data and ensure proper storage of raw data in accordance to set standards. The job holder makes automatic decisions following instructions on data capture and where there are inconsistencies in data refers them to the Data Management Officer. Discretion on the job is very limited.

    Jobs Responsibilities

    • Ensures there is proper and timely tracking of forms movement to and from the department.
    • Carries out proper logging/sorting of forms received.
    • Carries out retrieval of forms for referencing by data team.
    • Ensures proper storage of forms in designated places before and after completion of a given round.
    • Ensures proper storage of forms and backups.
    • Reports to the Data Management Officer any errors found on the forms.
    • Reports issues concerning filing/storage space in a timely manner
    • Ensures proper storage of forms in designated places
    • Ensures there is proper tracking of form movement from and to the stores.
    • Any other assigned duties in line with your role.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Minimum of a Diploma in Records & Archives Management, Secretarial and Computer Studies, Office and Information Management.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in data and records handling.
    • Experience working in a medical research setting added advantage.
    • Knowledge and experience of Digital archiving.
    • Good Computer skills required.
    • Excellent communication skills required (Both oral & written)

  • Data Clerk - Locum
    Positions: 01
    Period: 3 Months

    General Position Summary

    To accurately capture, edit data and ensure proper storage of raw data in accordance to set standards.     Jobs Responsibilities

    • Uses passwords to enter databases data collected by the survey/census teams using designed entry programs.
    • Ensures completeness of double data entry where it is necessitated.
    • Runs inconsistency programs and makes edits on the stored data.
    • Makes routine backups at schedules intervals.
    • Ensures proper storage of forms and backups.
    • Reports to the Data Management Officer any errors made by the field teams found on the forms.
    • Reports to the Data Management Officer any malfunctions in the computer.
    • Ensures proper storage of forms in designated places.
    • Ensures there is proper tracking of form movement from and to the stores.
    • Any other assigned duties in line with your role.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Minimum of a Diploma in Secretarial and Computer Studies, Office and Information
    • At least 1 year experience in secretarial in a multi departmental setting.

  • Community DREAMS/OVC Technical Assistant
    Positions: 04
    Period: 6 Months
    Reports To DREAMS/OVC Technical Lead

    General Position Summary

    To support the technical implementation and Coordination Function of the DREAMS & OVC program in the district as guided by PEPFAR. The OVC-DREAMS District Assistant will work with the OVC-DREAMS cluster coordinator and district data assistant to ensure that overall implementation of the DREAMS & OVC program in the district is efficiently executed.

    Jobs Responsibilities

    • Monitor DREAMS & OVC activity implementation in the district.
    • Provide technical guidance to the CBOs, DREAMS & OVC social workers, Sub-county Coordinators and other district and sub-district DREAMS & OVC stakeholders such as DOVVCC & SOVVCs.
    • Prepare district DREAMS & OVC budgets, work-plans, and accountabilities.
    • Monitor the implementation of district DREAMS & OVC work-plans across the different thematic areas.
    • Work with district administrative structures to ensure smooth running of DREAMS & OVC activities in the district.
    • Monitor DREAMS & OVC performance and reporting in UDOTS, HIBRID and DHIS2 for their respective district.
    • Monitors daily reporting of district DREAMS & OVC activities.
    • Plan for and oversee different operational field activities in the district.
    • Prepare weekly reports for the district.
    • Ensure timely, clean, and complete district DREAMS & OVC reporting to DHIS2, HIBRID, UDOTS and OVCMIS
    • Oversee screening and enrolment of AGYW and vulnerable children into the DREAMS/OVC program based on the risk and vulnerability criteria as guided by PEPFAR.
    • Support functionality of OVC coordination structures at district and sub-district levels [DOVVCC & SOVVCs].
    • Lead capacity building initiatives among DREAMS/OVC service providers at various levels
    • Support initiatives aimed at increasing AGYW/OVC access to education and life skills.
    • Build systems to ensure effective referral and linkages for AGYW/OVCs to community support structures using PSWs.
    • Promote access and utilization of child protection services among AGYW, vulnerable children, youths and their household members.
    • Ensure access to quality legal and protective services among victims of child abuse and survivors of Gender Based Violence
    • Ensure regular follow up and documentation of Viral load suppression status of all OVC and AGYW on ART.
    • Supervise and work closely with health facilities, PSWs & CSO staff to link HIV positive children and AGYW to community social services.
    • Support OVC case management documentation and beneficiary assessments to track progress towards graduation.
    • Document and report family and child success stories based on program intervention.
    • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, or Related humanities field
    • Training in child protection and GBV prevention and response will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with DREAMS & OVC programming is an added advantage.
    • Experience working with PEPFAR and district reporting systems like DHIS2, OVCMIS, and HIBRID is an advantage
    • Experience working with the Uganda DREAMS & OVC Tracking System (UDOTS) is an added advantage.
    • Ability to work in a rural and multi-cultural environment.
    • Ability to ride a motorcycle and possession of a valid riding permit

  • Community KP/ PrEP Assistant
    Positions: 02
    Period: 6 Months
    Reports To :KP/PrEP Technical lead

    General Position Summary

    The PrEP Officer will be responsible for coordinating all Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis related activities in the 12 districts of greater Masaka region.

    Jobs Responsibilities

    • Plan, implement and monitor PrEP activities in the assigned district (s).
    • Plan and conduct training and on-site mentorships on PrEP service provision.
    • Provides technical guidance and support supervision to district, facility and CSO staff on PrEP activities.
    • Plan, organize and conduct community and facility PrEP awareness sessions to stakeholders and service recipients.
    • Budget and account for all allocated resources.
    • Enters PrEP data into the tracker and relevant registers.
    • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on all PrEP implemented activities and submit the report to supervisor.
    • Deliver logistics to health facilities/DICEs that are required for the implementation of PrEP activities.
    • Prepares workplans for the implementation of PrEP services in the respective districts.
    • Provide counselling and follow-up support to PrEP clients.
    • Closely work with the KP Prevention Officer for the proper integration of PrEP activities into the general KP/PP Prevention Program.
    • Any other duty assigned to him or her by supervisor from time to time.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • A Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, or closely related field.
    • At least one year experience in Key Population Implementation Programming
    • Good Communication Skills
    • Computer literate
    • Ability to ride motorcycle and valid riding permit (Class A) is a MUST.
