  • Stores Volunteer - 1 Position (KALISIZO)

    General Position Summary

    The Stores Volunteer will primarily undertake the administrative storage functions of the Rakai Health Sciences Program stores essential to practice, with integrity, while conforming to approved policies and procedures. The person should have the capacity to work under minimum supervision, be proactive, maintain an ambient environment, and ensure a receptive ambiance to staff and clients, while resiliently working to fulfil the organization's goals, and upholding our Core Values.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Carry out Stock card updating.
    • Prepare stock /goods for dispatching
    • Arrangement of stock on shelf
    • Labelling of stock on shelf
    • Filing of stores records
    • Delivery of documents to other offices/officers
    • Stock /goods dispatched to the right person.
    • Ensure Stock on shelves is well arranged.
    • Ensure Stock on shelves is well labelled.
    • Ensure Stores records properly filed.
    • Ensure documents from stores are delivered to relevant offices /officers as and when required.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelors’ Degree holder in procurement and logistics management, transport and related field e.g. business administration.
    • Completion of at least one level in CIPS.
    • Computer knowledge is added advantage.
    • Customer care skills, Good handwriting skills, good communication skills, personal relations skills and team player.
    • Hands-on experience in inventory management software and MS Excel.
    • Possess good record keeping, report compilation, report writing, communication, presentation, and feedback skills.
    • A self-starter, able to multi-task and work with minimum supervision.
    • Able to work under pressure with competing deadlines in a demanding and challenging work environment

  • Engraver - 1 Position (KALISIZO)

    General Position Summary

    Engrave or etch flat or curved metal, wood,rubber, or other materials by hand or machinefor printing, identification purposes.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Engrave and label all RSHP Items.
    • Label all RHSP items with the clear serials following the right sequencingpattern for easy identification.
    • Update the inventory register to ensurethat all engraved Items are in thedeclared places as per serial
    • He/she is responsible for preparing thereports on adjustments done toinventories that may be damaged,spoilt, etc.
    • Engrave designs, text, or othermarkings onto materials, workpieces,or products.
    • Examine engraving for quality of cut,burrs, rough spots, and irregular orincomplete engraving.
    • Inspect finishes of workpieces orfinished products.
    • Print proofs or examine designs to verifyaccuracy of engraving, and reworkengraving as required.
    • Any other duties as may be assigned bythe supervisor.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Diploma in Art and Design, Certificate inArt from a reputable vocational school.
    • At least 1-year relevant experience.
    • The incumbent must demonstrateinterest and a collaborative work style
    • He / She should have excellent oral andwritten communication skills.
    • Artistic capability, ability to use relatedtools, sense of fashion, attention todetail, dexterity
    • Good analytical and organization skills
    • He/She should have a desire to learnevery detail related to inventory

  • Stores Controller 1 Position (KALISIZO)

    General Position Summary

    The primary duties of the Stores controller officer are to assist and be part of the Stores and stock control team in managing stock processes and the general store practices. The job holder will play a key role in stock receipt, counting, record keeping, preparation of dispatches, maintaining order and cleanliness, and keeping the general safety of stocks, staff and the facility, in a way that contributes directly to RHSP’s goal and objectives.

    Essential Job Functions

    • To assist sorting, pre-packing and labeling of requested goods before dispatch
    • To assist in dispatching goods to their respective users
    • To assist in receipt of goods / supplies in to the stores.
    • To post daily goods’ transactions both receipts and dispatches on to the Bin cards and system in real time.
    • Assist in routine stock taking and daily stock reconciliations
    • Will be responsible for categorizing goods/ supplies neatly on to their respective ranks in the store/ware house.
    • Inspect daily cleanliness and hygiene of the stores.
    • Daily inspection of drugs in the stores and look for damages spills and expires.
    • As will be instructed from time to time, among other things, provide periodic performance reports.
    • Assist in secondary packaging at the warehouse.
    • Execute all other duties as shall be assigned by supervisor-, adhere to all RHSP policies, procedures and demonstrate high integrity.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelors’ degree in Stores management, procurement and logistics management, and any other related qualifications.
    • 3 years relevant experience
    • Knowledge of managing pharmaceutical and health products and use of Navision will be added advantages
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Excellent track record in customer relations management
    • The incumbent should be computer literate with experience in the use of MS Office documents; and skills in stock software (Tally) for data management and reporting
    • The incumbent must possess excellent communication, good interpersonal skills and high integrity
