DREAMS

The acronym “DREAMS” stands for Determined Resilient Empowered AIDS-free Mentored and Safe women. The project supports DREAMS activities in the districts of Rakai and Kyotera,.

DREAMS focuses on the reduction of HIV incidence in adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) aged between 15 – 24 years by delivering a package of evidence-based interventions that include;

  • Condom promotion
  • HIV testing and counselling
  • Community mobilization and norms change
  • Post violence care
  • Parenting/care-giver programs
  • Expanded and improved contraceptive mix
  • Combined socio-economic approaches
  • Educational subsides and cash transfers.
